Performance Specification
We define the target EN standard performance levels for each product — cut resistance, abrasion rating, heat resistance, grip performance — based on the real-world applications the glove is designed for.
Material Selection
We select materials that can achieve those performance targets: Twaron® para-aramid fibre for cut resistance, chrome leather for heat and abrasion, specialist waterproof membranes for Watersafe™ models, and coating compounds matched to the grip profile required.
EN Testing
Gloves are independently tested against the relevant EN standards — EN ISO 21420, EN 388, EN 407, EN 374, EN 511, or EN 1186 as applicable. We hold the test reports and technical files for every product and can provide these to customers on request.
Batch Quality Control
On delivery of each production batch, samples are inspected against specification before the batch is approved for despatch. Non-conforming batches are rejected or reworked.
Ongoing Compliance Review
EN standards are revised periodically. We review our product range on an ongoing basis to ensure conformity with current standards — including the transition from EN 420 to EN ISO 21420, and updates to EN 388 cut resistance testing methodology.
